Basketball team fundraises for OFSAA entry

EMC Sports - To help raise funds toward their entry in next week's All-Ontario (OFSAA) championships, members of the SFDCI senior boys RedHawks basketball team will be running a bottle drive this Saturday, March 5.

Coach Todd Spencer says the players will be wearing a RedHawks jersey and will be accompanied by some parents who will be assisting with the venture.

The senior RedHawks, who swept all four of their games last week in winning the EOSSAA championship and sport an overall 41-5 record, would be grateful to receive any contributions to help offset costs of the trip. This year's OFSAA tournament takes place in North Bay, Ont. For more coverage, see page SF8.
