Pancake dinner to support area dental programs March 8
Posted Mar 3, 2011 By EMC NewsEMC Events - The annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper presented in co-operation of three Lombardy churches will be held at the Lombardy Agricultural Hall Tuesday, March 8 from 4-7 p.m.
The evening will feature entertainment by local group, the Mellowdears and pianist Robert Scott from Toronto.
By asking only a free will donation for the meal it is then accessible to everyone, including seniors and large families.
All proceeds from the supper are donated to a charitable organization. We are pleased to announce that since 2001 over $18,000 has been donated to local charities. This year, the committee has chosen two dental health programs as co-recipients: Dental Issues Group operating out of the Country Roads Community Health Centre in Portland and the Tri-County Dental Coalition in Smiths Falls. Both programs work to increase access to dental services, to improve the general health and well-being of individuals by working with existing community-based groups, organizations and professionals. Please come out and enjoy.
