Senior RedHawks get second crack at OFSAA title

The SFDCI senior boys RedHawks basketball team claimed their second EOSSAA championship in a row on Friday, defeating Loyolist of Kingston in the final of the six-team tournament. They now advance to the provincial championships (OFSAA) for a second straight year, seeking to improve on their showing from 2010.
With a veteran-laden squad, they will no doubt enter the tournament as one of the highest seeds.
The RedHawks swept through the round robin portion of the EOSSAA event, playing on their home court at SFDCI on Thursday. The next day, they continued their dominance with double-digit victories over South Grenville (Prescott) in the semifinal and Loyalist in the final.
