Annual RV weekend a hit at Civitan Hall

EMC Lifestyles - Welcome to our new Civitan member Jeanne Reynolds and thank you for joining our club.

During the weekend of June 15 to 17, RV campers took over our parking lot approximately people from 35 RVs were here to enjoy the weekend. Friday evening a euchre tournament was held, Saturday afternoon live music entertained the crowd followed by a delicious meal then the people were again entertained with live music, Sunday morning the campers enjoyed breakfast before breaking camp. This was a great weekend for the campers.

On June 16 some of our members were busy selling smoked meat sandwiches under the water tower during the pipe band festivities.

June 23 and June 24 our members were busy again operating a beer garden at the Rodeo which took place at the Lombardy Fair Grounds. Also on June 23 some of our members were doing a barbecue at Lombardy Manor for the residences.

On June 26 Civitans Bryan and Julie Wiltsie celebrated their 30th Anniversary.

On June 27 Civitans Joyce and Jim Wiltsie attended the graduation ceremonies at the Smiths Falls and District High School to give bursaries to Connor Garrett and Kelsey Lambert.

On Friday June 29 the following people departed for Estonia to take part in the Civitan International Convention: Bryan and Julie Wiltsie and Walter and Carolyn Trenholme.

Congratulations to Bob Robinson of the Perth Civitan Club on his election to the position of President Elect in Civitan International, this took place recently at the International Convention in Estonia.

Welcome home to the four globe trotters, glad you made it home safe and sound.
