Police make arrest in store robbery

Tweet ThisEMC News - Smiths Falls Police have made an arrest in connection to a robbery Feb. 7 at Express Variety Convenience Store.
Following the three-day investigation, police made an arrest Wednesday, Feb. 10. David Francis Guertin, 25, of Smiths Falls, has been charged in connection to the incident, with robbery, use of an imitation firearm during the commission of an offence, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and wearing a disguise while committing an indictable offence. The accused appeared in Perth bail court Feb. 11. Police recovered the pellet gun and mask allegedly used during the robbery at the Lombard Street store, along with other evidence they say led them to the identity and quick arrest of the suspect.
