Activities abound at youth centre

EMC Lifestyle - We hope that everyone had a safe and awesome Christmas holiday and a happy New Year! In January we have a lot of stuff going on. The centre is going to be having some renovations done so that we can better help the centre and the youth in it. Over the Christmas break we had a donation of a laptop and some computer monitors and we also got a vacuum cleaner. The events that we have going on in January are:

- Jan. 11- a youth board meeting

- Jan. 17- snowman building contest

- Jan. 19- museum of nature trip $5

- Jan. 20- teen dance (at the lion's club)

- Jan. 25- a youth board meeting

- Jan. 27- pre-teen dance (at the youth arena)

- Jan. 31- award night

To kind of explain everything: The award night that we have happens at the end of each month, we have a character attribute calendar and when the month is up we pick one youth that has shown this attribute the most around the centre and they will get an award. The snowman building contest will be on unless there is no snow. The cost of the museum of nature trip is $5.

The locations of both dances have been changed. The teen dance is now at the Lions Club and the pre-teen dance is now at the youth arena!! The locations have been changed because of the number of youth that we have coming to each dance. We are still closed on Mondays.
