Bears' season ticket campaign just around corner

Posted Jul 22, 2010 By Ryland Coyne

EMC Sports - The heat may have been unbearable at times in recent days, but before you know it, junior hockey players will be back on the ice ready to tackle another Central Hockey League season. And for Smiths Falls Bears fans, the upcoming season will be particularly special with the club moving into its new digs come September.

Larry Hart, the Bears' Booster Club president, is getting ready to launch another season ticket campaign. And while the mid-summer heat has people grabbing for the ice in their drinks, he wants them to start thinking about the ice at the rink and being first in line for a year of junior hockey unlike any other. "If you missed the closing of the old rink...this is a perfect opportunity to make sure you're at the first game in the new rink," he said last week.

While the organization is still working on prices and a seating plan layout, that information should be finalized soon.

And keep watching the EMC for all the details as well as the special afternoon at Rob Roy's being planned for season ticket holders. Last year's inaugural event was a success, offering those individuals a chance to meet with the coaches and some players to get their plans for the upcoming season.
