Posted Jun 3, 2010 By EMC News

EMC Events - Summer is creeping up quickly and that means the kids will be out of school! Wondering what to do with your child this summer? Come to Heritage House Museum! Our popular Backyard History Day Camp are back once again every Wednesday from July 7 to Aug. 18.

Themes this year include, Stop the Press Cub Reporter, Mad Hatter, A Blast From the Past, Monkey Madness, Mystery Mayhem, Be a tourist in your own Town, and Gone Camping. The camps are for children ages 6-12, and run from 9:30-3:30 p.m. We are offering an early bird special of 15 per cent off until June 7 with the cost of each day camp being $21.25. After that date, camps will then be $25 per day/per child. The day camps will be filled with games, outings, crafts and a few special guests such as Ray's Reptiles and tours of local attractions.

A special thanks to Guy Saumure and Sons Construction for their generous donation, making these special events possible for the kids! Children need to bring a lunch and a morning snack with them. They must also have proper sun protection, insect repellent and footwear.

Children must be registered in advance, as space is limited. We will not be accepting telephone registrations. Registration forms are available at the museum, or on our website, http://www.smithsfalls.ca/heritagehouse/events.cfm under the 'Special Events' section. In order to receive the early bird special, your child must be registered and paid for before June 7.
